Germany - Grünstein and Königssee

One of best things in living in Munich is distance to Alps. It's basicly possible to jump in a car in morning and spend rest of day hiking in mountains. This time we went toSchönau am Königssee. Most of the tourist go there to visit the lake Königssee which is one of the most popular destination in Bavaria. However, the surrounding of the lake is also beautiful, and it's good destination for a day hiking trip.

We left out car on a parking near the lake and followed the signs. - "Grunstein 1304 m" - Hmm that's sounds good. Let's go there! At that moment we didn't expect that a whole trip will tak as about 7 hours (with a couple longer stops). But the effort was totally worth it. We admire beautiful views from the top of the mountain and as a reward we had a good meal and a beer in Grünstein hütte which is about 20 minutes away from the peak.

Beginning, we still don't have idea what we are doing :). Grünstein on the right.
